American Finishing Resources, LLC | Mike Malatesta Founder & President Advanced Waste Services, Inc. | Chuck Zamora Founder & President Zamora Group International | | Matt Kirchner ('Kirk-ner') | | Matt Kirchner presently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of American Finishing Resources, LLC (AFR). With facilities in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Indiana, and a transportation footprint encompassing twelve states, AFR is by far the largest provider of Industrial Coatings Removal and Paint Fixture and Hanger Fabrication in the Midwest. For 10 years prior to joining AFR, Kirchner served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of ABQC Corporation, a metal finishing operation located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With approximately 250,000 square feet of floor space ABQC is one of the largest metal finishing facilities in the United States. In the mid-1990s Kirchner completed the turnaround of Innovative Control Systems, Inc., a Wisconsin corporation that develops and manufactures high-tech security and asset protection systems for healthcare facilities. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin, is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, and serves on the board of directors of three corporations and several non-profit organizations. Kirchner is the immediate past President of the Milwaukee Branch of the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society and presently serves on its Board of Managers. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the Management Committee of the National Association for Surface Finishing. In 2004, he was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s “40 under Forty,” honoring leaders under 40 years of age who have succeeded in business and given back to the community. He is a graduate of Marquette University. In addition to his role with AFR, Kirchner is President of Profit360, LLC, a Midwest provider of management advisory services, and speaks frequently on topics of interest to American businesses. Over the last 16 years, Mike has not only lived through the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial cycle, but he has also learned the importance and impact that innovation and transformation bring, not just to an organization, but to every person in the organization. During that time, his company has grown from a “two men and a truck” start up to a fully integrated waste services enterprise with more than 130 employees and operations in four states. Registration Deadline: Oct. 1, 2009 | | | | Chuck Zamora | Chuck Zamora is also the author of “Chuck Zamora’s Little Black Book of Quotes,” a book that compiles 115 quotes that Chuck has personally written. Chuck is also the president and founder of ZAMORA GROUP INTERNATIONAL-The Learning Company, a staff development and corporate education company. The company was conceived in 1984 and is a culmination of Chuck’s background in both education and his experience in the corporate world. After a decade of teaching, Chuck joined a large multinational corporation overseas and launched his corporate career in sales. After quickly achieving success, it was then a natural progression to move into the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. From there, Chuck became the Senior Vice President responsible for the entire state of Queensland, Australia. In 1984, he was offered the position of Asia Pacific Regional Training Director. The position was turned down and instead Chuck chose to resign and launched ZAMORA GROUP INTERNATIONAL-The Learning Company Inc. In 2005, Chuck and his wife Trish made a family decision to return to the United States and are now located in the state of Wisconsin. The company now operates on two continents as Chuck continues to serve a very vibrant client base in Australia as well as Northern America. Chuck also serves on the board of Portal Industries, a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to assist adult citizens with disabilities, providing them with opportunities to lead a more fulfilling life. Chuck specializes in the areas of leadership, sales and, customer service. In the last almost quarter of a century, Chuck has reached in excess of 250,000 people with his high energy and rock solid programs. In 1999, Chuck launched a five-day leadership program titled CLASS, Corporate Leadership And Success Strategies. This course was designed for middle managers as well as small business owners. Due to the huge success in Australia, CLASS became the flagship for the launch of Zamora Training, Inc. in the United States. To date, CLASS has received endorsements from over 18 different companies in the United States and continues to be an effective program for growing and grooming future leaders. In 2008, THINK LEADERSHIP, a program for the business owner and senior executives of publicly listed companies, was launched.
